The Hilton Hotels

Hilton is a brand of the Hilton Hotels Corporation, based in Beverly Hills, California. It is one of the world's largest chains of hotels.

The Hilton brand was re-united internationally after more than 40 years in February 2006, when United States-based Hilton Hotels Corporation purchased the lodging arm of United Kingdom-based Hilton Group PLC, which had acquired Hilton's international operations in 1987 (the companies had been severed originally in 1966).

Hilton Hotels became America's first coast-to-coast hotel chain in 1943.The company places marketing emphasis on business travel, but owns and operates a number of resorts and leisure-oriented hotels as well.

The chain has over 500 Hilton branded hotels across the world and has partnerships with many airline and car rental companies.
 


Conrad & Coral Hotels

Founded in 1982, as a way for Hilton Hotels to expand its luxury hotel management business outside of the USA. Conrad began recently branding hotels in the US and now includes assets in Chicago, Miami, New York and Indianapolis. An addition property is expected in Las Vegas, Nevada. As of January, 2006, the brand included 20 hotels located in Australia, Belgium, Hong Kong S.A.R., Egypt, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay.Conrad Jupiters was the brand's first hotel and opened in 1985.

DoubleTree

Doubletree is an upscale hotel chain operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. It currently owns over 150 properties, servicing more than 40,900 rooms throughout the Latin and North America.

"Doubletree" also refers to a device that connected two horses to a wagon or other implement. The tugs of a harness are connected to a "singletree." Two singletrees are connected to a doubletree, which, in turn, is connected to the implement.

Embassy Suites Hotels

Embassy Suites Hotels is a chain of hotels, which specializes in suite-style rooms that is owned by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Embassy Suites is an upscale chain of all-suite hotels which are often held in high esteem for their quality, value and service. A hotel test conducted by Consumer Reports gave Embassy Suites the highest rating in satisfaction in the "upscale" category. All guest rooms of this chain feature a separate living area as well as a sleeping area. Like many hotels, guests can choose from a king sized bed or two double beds. The living area often consists a sofa bed with matching chairs and a separate television. The majority of Embassy Suites hotels have an atrium style layout. The interior of the hotel may have a tropical rain forest setting complete with waterfall, bridges, and a large dining area. One of the key features of Embassy Suites is the Cooked-to-Order Breakfast, which may consist of a breakfast buffet. However, certain hotels allow guests to make personal orders with the breakfast chefs. The breakfasts are complete with various hot foods such as bacon, eggs, and omelettes. In the evening, a complimentary Manager's Reception with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and appetizers are provided for all guests. As of January 2, 2007, there are 184 Embassy Suites locations, mainly located in the United States. The Embassy Suites Niagara Falls, Ontario is the tallest and largest Embassy Suites, being 42 stories tall, however it does not have the typical atrium layout.


Hapton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites

Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites are the names of a chain of hotels operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Hampton Inn & Suites offers suites in addition to the standard rooms found at a Hampton Inn.

As of December 2006, the chain had 1,281 hotels.

Hampton Inn hotels are usually characterized by multistory stucco construction, though there are some exceptions to this in the midwest.



Hilton Garden Inn

Hilton Garden Inn is the name of a chain of hotels operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Hilton Garden Inns are upscale, mid-priced hotels that are designed for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel brand is similar to that of the Courtyard by Marriott brand. Guest rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and have either a king or queen bed or two double beds, as well as a sitting area with an ottoman. Most locations feature a pool, whirpool, and fitness center. High speed internet access is available throughout the hotel and a 24 hour business center is especially convenient for business travelers.


Hilton Grand Vacations Company

Hilton Grand Vacations Company, a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels, based in Orlando, Florida is a leading operator of timeshare resorts with about 30 properties in Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, and New York. It also franchises three additional resorts and manages another under the Embassy Vacation Resort banner. The resort villas are jointly-owned by about 85,000 members who have exclusive use of the properties for limited periods of time. Members can also exchange their intervals for vacations at more than 3,700 resorts worldwide.

Homewood Suites by Hilton

Homewood Suites by Hilton is an American hotel chain with more than 190 hotels open and another 30 under development. The brand, launched in 1989, is an upscale residential-style offering catering primarily to travelers staying five or more consecutive nights. Homewood Suites is operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Homewood Suites offers spacious suites, a friendly staff, an on-site convenience store, an exercise facility, and a guest laundry at most locations. The chain also offers a complimentary hot breakfast daily and a complimentary light meal and beverages Monday through Thursday evenings. Additional guest services include a complimentary grocery-shopping service and a complete, 24-hour business center at most locations. Most locations also feature a swimming pool and outdoor sports court.

The Waldorf-Astoria Collection

The Waldorf of Astoria Collection is a luxury collection of Hilton Hotels' premiere, most luxurious and most identifiable boutique hotels and resorts. In January 2006, Hilton Hotels, Inc, announced it would launch a luxury brand called the Waldorf ofAstoria Collection, branded after the famous Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in New York City, called the most powerful hotel name in the world. Hilton Hotels declared that the new brand will create luxurious business hotels and resorts worldwide, exceeding the chain's current luxury brand, Conrad Hotels.In February 2006, the corporation announced three other landmark properties - the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, La Quinta Resort & Spa in La Quinta, California, and the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Maui, Hawaii - joined the brand. The company plans to further expand the Waldorf-Astoria line by building hotels in signature world cities including Paris and Singapore, as well as adding more resorts and some existing Hilton and Conrad properties to the Waldorf-Astoria Collection.

The Hilton HHonors

Hilton HHonors is the loyalty program of the Hilton Hotels Corporation. HHonors benefits at participating Hilton, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Scandic hotels. HHonors lets you earn both hotel points and airline miles for the same stay at more than 2,500 hotels. Hilton's loyalty program is unique in that it allows travelers to accumulate both points toward future stays or upgrades at Hilton hotels and airline miles on selected airlines. HHonors markets this feature under the slogan "Double Dipping", and it is the only hotel loyalty program to do so.
